The Auberge Hermitage is a world class boutique restaurant hotel located in Biei in the central area of Japan's Northern-most Island: Hokkaido.

Biei is famous for being a place of unsurpassed natural beauty. Its beautiful surrounds are often used as the backdrop for many commercials in Japan and it is often visited by many famous photographers seeking to capture the natural beauty that Biei contains in their works.

We provide five guests suites and two cottages in quiet seclusion surrounded by Biei's pristine natural environment. Enjoy fantastic panoramic views of surrounding gardens, rolling meadows, and beautiful wild flowers throughout the warmer parts of the year or snow capped pines, fine powder snow and white capped mountains in the cooler parts of the year. Each season brings a new face to the beauty which is Biei.

By being situated in Biei, the Auberge Hermitage is in an ideal location regardless of your intended activities. Some of the finest powder snow and greatest ski slopes are within a stones throw from here and if that is too cold for you some of the greatest onsen and rotenburo ( hot springs ) are just as close.

In the warmer parts of the year, other activities such as hiking, horse riding, hot air ballooning and sightseeing may also be enjoyed. However you plan to spend your time here, our staff are more then happy to provide you with any advice or recommendations you may need during your stay.
